You're warmly invited to join me for my first solo showing in Canterbury in several years. Following my predictable rural theme's, in this body of work I have had more fun than ever with the colour palette, mixing up mediums and embracing other subjects. I am finding more and more that I want to depict (or visually shout about!) the joy I get from rural living and it's colourful, character-filled inhabitants.
I hope to see you there for a cool, casual catch up and art viewing. Amelia Guild

Yay! Very excited to be heading back to The Artist's Room in Dunedin for a solo show this May. I am still frantically splashing, slapping and scratching around in the studio to create a bold new body of work, but happy with the progress so far. Here is a little taste below of what you will find there. I am yet to name this show, but if you want to get the first gander at work, then contact [email protected] and she will keep you in the loop.
I'm very happy to announce that I am now part of The Artist's Room family in Dunedin. I will be having my first show there in March so watch this space for details.
Thrilled to announce that my painting 'Beef Cheeks By Jowl' just won the acclaimed Craigs Aspiring Art Prize in Wanaka over the weekend. I was in some esteemed company so was humbled to receive the award. Judges Leigh Melville and Jamie Hanton described it as "a highly composed bovine portrait which packed a lot of action into a small space". Yay!
Here is a look at the family (human and fur) in our 2016 Country Calendar episode. Excuse the cheesy one-liners!
